Black and white people should be friends and it does not matter what color you are, people are people.
Martin Luther King believed that he could make a difference and everyone knows that he did.Hes a very important person to the african americans and everyone else that believed in what he said!!!!!!!!
I think that Martin Luther King was veary brave to say the truth that black and white people should be treated the same way.
I think that Dr. Martin Luther King made a very good point. He showed that everyone can get along with each other even if we have diffrent skin colors. His speech moved a lot of people and made changes to the future. People should not be judged by their color, or in fact anything else. Dr. Martin Luther King is a hero to everyone out there, with out him there might still be slavery. Even though there is still prejudice and racists people out there, he made a big difference on how people saw each other.

Dr. King believed that segregation should be illegal and everyone should get along, even if they had different skin tones. He made a big impact on all of us, and His work would have gone on sooner, but he was shot, as we all know.
I don’t think he should of targeted his work more for the black community though. Latinos and Asians had many problems with racism too.

I really enjoyed reading all of your comments about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the relevance of his message to all people. He was a man that I was familiar with as a younger person just beginning to learn about civil rights, racism and discrimination. I remember very clearly, his famous speech of “I Have a Dream” as well as the tragic moment when he was killed. His message, the issue of equality, is still not achieved. Shockingly, the issue of race is still quite prevelant on our planet. It is a message that each one of us must own before it is fully realized. It is crucial that each one of us stands strong in the ongoing “fight” for the rights of all human beings. I strongly feel that this change begins right here at “home” in Portland, OR, at Arleta, in your classrooms, on your block and in your homes.
